Cyanotoxins are a global recurrent problem in our freshwater ecosystems with impacts on water quality, public health, and ecosystem safety even in sustainable environments. Toxin production and risk assessment are two major tools for studying cyanotoxin occurrence tackling the prevention, control, and mitigation of Cyanobacterial Harmful Algal Blooms, known more commonly as CyanoHABs. In Webinar, two scholars will present extensive knowledge via lectures on cyanotoxins’ impacts, namely on irrigation waters, and on the recent cyanotoxin reports uncovered in Portugal. The Webinar will be expected to provide new perspectives, highlight current impacts, and encourage new challenges in cyanotoxins global research.
